Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose reportedly got into a punch-up with a few photographers while he was on his way from Los Angeles to Taipei, Taiwan on Wednesday night (Dec. 9).
According to Live Daily, Rose was heading through Los Angeles International Airport when he "got into a scuffle with a paparazzo that ended up with a few bloodied participants."
TMZ reports the altercation began when Rose showed up at the airport and had a woman with him. A few photographers tried to take their picture, and Rose's lady-friend apparently wasn't too happy about it because TMZ reports she started "scuffling" with the paparazzi.
Rose saw this, and then "instantly started throwing punches," the website reports. Rose's entourage had to drag him away from the melee, according to TMZ, but no police or airport security were involved.
One of the photographers now claims he has video footage of Rose punching him in the head during the scuffle.
Levine Communications, the public-relations firm that represents Rose and Guns N' Roses, issued a statement defending Rose on Thursday.
"Axl Rose... was unhurt last evening when he was accosted by an unruly group of paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport," the statement reads. (You can read it in full on Guns N' Roses' MySpace page.)
"Mr. Rose, who was about to enter a security checkpoint at LAX when the altercation took place, was approached by a group of unchecked and unruly photographers who became aggressive with the singer and female members of the traveling group."
Rose boarded his flight to Taipei without further incident, according to the statement.
This doesn't look to be any kind of Kanye West-esque incident because no charges have been filed yet and no police were involved following the altercation.
