Vans Warped Tour Unveils 2010 Dates

The 2010 Vans Warped Tour unveiled its itinerary yesterday, and it's a slightly leaner affair in terms of dates and length.
"Taking into account all the back to school schedules, we've shortened the tour by a week and so check out the Dates page to see when and where the tour will be hitting your town," a statement read on the tour's website on Wednesday (Dec. 9).
The 43-date tour — three dates shorter than this year's jaunt — is slated to kick off in San Diego on June 24 and wrap up in Hillsboro, Ore. on Aug. 15. Last year's tour finished on Aug. 23 with a one-off date the following month.
There will be three Canadian dates this year. That's one date smaller than 2009's trek, which contained four.
The 2010 Vans Warped Tour hits Mississauga, Ont.'s Arrow Hall on July 9 and will be held at Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau the following day. Calgary will host the event at the Race City Speedway on Aug. 5. Vancouver hosted a show last year, but isn't in the cards for 2010. But hey, they got the Olympics.
An announcement about this year's lineup will be made Dec. 18, but Warped Tour-related bands slated to release new albums in 2010 include Bring Me The Horizon, 3OH!3, The Academy Is..., The Get Up Kids and Motion City Soundtrack.
The 2009 Vans Warped Tour also featured a change in setup, with one main stage featuring bands playing slightly longer sets. Earlier years saw two main stages with bands alternating on each, making for a seamless day of music.
Last year's lineup also included Bad Religion, NOFX, Anti-Flag and Alexisonfire along with Lights, Gallows and Flogging Molly.
