In the beginning, there was Wilco. Then, Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails came along. Now, it's Cowlick's turn.
No, we're not talking about Platinum certification. The Hamilton, Ont. band have made their debut album, 2008's Eternia Hernia, available for free download. You can get it right here.
"It's a witch's brew of fun, ferociousness, riffs, and an eye of newt," Cowlick's Jackson Hudecki told CHARTattack when it came out. "It's all over the map, so bring your compass."
Eternia Hernia features plenty of recognizable contributors, as well, with By Divine Right's Jose Contreras and Holy Fuck's Graham Walsh lending their talents to the record.
Cowlick say they'll release a new album in early 2010. They haven't leaked a name or release date, but they've confirmed that Lee Reed (Warsawpack), Mitch Bowden (Don Vail) and their sister Kristen Hudecki will appear on the album, amongst others.
They've also introduced Ian Parker into the fold as a full-time bassist.
