2Pac

What do you think would appear on a MySpace playlist created by the Vatican?

If you said "religious music about Jesus" or "songs featuring the Pope," you'd be right. But you'd also be correct if you jokingly said, "2Pac."

Yes, 2Pac's "Changes" shows up on a 12-song MySpace playlist that the Vatican contributed for MySpace's MySpace Music, which launched on Thursday (Dec. 3).

"The genres [on the playlist] are very different from each other, but all these artists share the aim to reach the heart of good minded people," The Vatican wrote on its MySpace page.

The list was compiled by Father Giulio Neroni, who was responsible for producing Alma Mater, an album that combines Gregorian chanting with Pope Benedict XVI's voice in five different languages.

Did Father Neroni do any Hail Marys after listening to the swear-laden track?

Muse's "Uprising" also appears on the list, along with a song by Dame Shirley Bassey and Fleet Foxes' "He Doesn't Know Why."

Here's what's on the Vatican's MySpace playlist:

"Advocata Nostra"
Muse — "Uprising"
"Causa Nostrae Laetitiae"
"Il Mare Mi Salva"
Shirley Bassey — "After The Rain"
Nour Eddine — "Coexist"
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — "Don Giovanni"
Lorenzo Perosi Inni Mottetti E Canzoni, Pablo Colino & Coro Academica Filharmonica Romana — "Rafaele Merry Del Val"
Fleet Foxes — "He Doesn't Know Why"
2Pac — "Changes"
"Regina Coeli"
Santo Subito! — "Mi Sarete Testimoni"
