Woodhands Album Out In January

Woodhands
Paul Banwatt has been everywhere this year.

He toured large swaths of the U.S. with The Rural Alberta Advantage. He stopped in for a recording session at Daytrotter Studios — now the Midwestern equivalent of sitting down with John Peel. Heck, he even found time to appear on Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper's road playlist.

But amidst the hoopla surrounding RAA — perhaps the buzz band of the year — his other project, Woodhands, has been quietly/not-so-quietly churning along.

Never one to put his eggs in one basket, Banwatt and Dan Werb are slated to release the next Woodhands album, Remorsecapade, via Paper Bag Records on Jan. 26.

Their previous album, 2008's Heart Attack, was a scummy electro ass-shaker, and Remorsecapade is expected to further explore the grimier corners of clubland — both musically and lyrically.

The duo will shoot a video for first single "CP24" over the next couple of weeks. For now you can check out "Pockets," a downright greasy track from their new album, here.

Here are the songs on Remorsecapade:

"Pockets"
"Talk"
"CP24"
"Sluts"
"Coolchazine"
"I Should Have Gone With My Friends"
"Dissembler"
"When The Party Is Over"
"I Want To Be Together"
"How To Survive A Remorsecapade (Outro)"
