New Kataklysm To Come Out Next Summer Or Fall

Kataklysm
Montreal metal outfit Kataklysm have been busy doing more than just getting detained by the FBI. They've been working on finishing up their new album, due for release in late the summer/early fall of 2010.

While few details are confirmed for the album, guitarist Jean-Francois Dagenais (recently of FBI most-wanted-list persuasion), had this to say in a statement about it:

"I'm really excited to be deep into the writing process for the new Kataklysm album! The band is more focused than ever. This album will be different then 'Prevail' but will still have the classic Kataklysm trademarks and hooks.

"You will see a much more intricate record then we've done in the past. It will contain some really fast and dynamic parts, but we also aim for a very melodically driven record that will contain lots of technical parts that we haven’t explored much lately.

"We know we have set the bar high for ourselves but we are confident to deliver the goods once again!"

Dagenais will co-produce the record with Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Suicide Silence). Dagenais says Madsen is a good fit for the band.

"We feel he captured the bands sound best on 'In The Arms Of Devastation’ and that we're a winning team. We're going to make sure you have the best sounding record to date!"

As a Christmas present to their fans, the band have announced that they will announce the new album title on their Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace pages.
