Broken Social Scene

Egads! Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning no longer have MySpace pages.

Upon scouring the internet today, we discovered Drew and Canning's pages both no longer exist. It's true, Google them if you don't believe us. The unified front that is myspace.com/brokensocialscene is still alive, however.

Your favourite Toronto musical collective are planning a whole bunch of upcoming events coming up.

Firstly, Broken Social Scene will play the second All Tomorrow's Parties weekender that takes place in England next year. The festival, which is being curated by Pavement, will be held May 14 to 16 at Minehead, England's Butlins Holiday Resort.

If you're looking to get tickets, they're sold out, which is pretty stinky because the lineup also includes Mission Of Burma, Calexico, The Fiery Furnaces, The Walkmen, Atlas Sound and Blitzen Trapper, among others.

Some of Broken Social Scene's members will also be on hand at the upcoming annual Andy Kim Christmas Show, which will be held at Toronto's Mod Club on Dec. 9. All the proceeds from the show, which will also feature Divine Brown, Kim Mitchell and The Beauties, will be donated to charities working with children in the Greater Toronto Area.

Broken Social Scene have also just announced a merch sale, which means you'll now be able to please the BSS-obsessive in your life this holiday season. Crest and Organism shirts are available through Arts & Crafts' Gallery AC website for $30, and men's and ladies' Diner T-shirts are also on sale.

Finally, Broken Social Scene member Jason Collett is currently hosting something he's dubbed the Jason Collett Basement Revue. It's being held every Tuesday in December at Toronto's Dakota Tavern. Tickets are $20 and are available through Gallery AC and Toronto record stores Soundscapes and Rotate This.
