Bachman-Turner Are Back, No Word On Overdrive

BTO

It's been nearly two decades since we've heard Randy Bachman and Fred Turner play together.

Sure, BTO have existed in various incarnations since Bachman's departure in 1991. But the majority of their platinum records came directly from Bachman and Turner's collaborations.

Now the venerable duo are taking care of business again. They haven't released any specifics yet, but the duo will release a new album and tour the world as Bachman & Turner in 2010. They'll also launch a new website soon.

Bachman reportedly coaxed Turner out of retirement while recording a solo album in 2008. They rekindled their friendship and their combined creative vision over "Rock 'N' Roll Is The Only Way Out," a track penned by Bachman and sung by Turner.

The collaborative result is a yet-unnamed album, set for a 2010 release. More information about the album will be revealed on Dec. 8 at a press conference in Winnipeg, which is when the new website will be unveiled.

Bachman formed Bachman-Turner Overdrive in 1973 after he left The Guess Who. Bachman has left the group three times throughout their history. The last occurred in 1991.
