And you thought the members of A-Ha weren't going to do anything else after splitting up.

A-Ha's Magne Furuholmen and A-Ha producer Martin Terefe have formed a new band with Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman and Mew singer Jonas Bjerre. The project is called Apparatjik.

The band will release their debut album on Monday (Nov. 30), according to The Guardian, and emailed a song dubbed "Electric Eye" to 30 people this week. The song will be available to download through Apparatjik's website the day the album is released.

Don't go scratching your head over the Coldplay/A-Ha thing. Chris Martin has repeatedly said the band are a major influence of his.

You can see A-Ha at Tokyo, Japan's JCB Hall on Wednesday (Nov. 25) and at Oslo, Norway's Oslo Spektrum from Dec. 2 to 4, 2010.

Just a little correction/ addition:

a-ha will still be playing a whole farewell tour next year and those Oslo dates you mentioned are for 2010.

Taken from a-ha.com :

In March, a-ha will spend approximately three weeks touring in South America.

There will be a two-week tour of North American cities in May.

The summer months take a-ha back to Europe and the UK for some festivals.

There is going to be a European tour to round up everything in October and November.

and:

All a-ha members already have had musical solo projects which they also will continue with after the split of a-ha.
