Doperty Was On Life-Support

Finding yourself on life-support is a pretty gigantic clue you should probably start taking your health seriously.
That's what happened to Babyshambles frontman and former Libertines member Pete Doherty last month when he was forced to cancel a string of dates in Northern Ireland and Ireland.
"If I hadn't been on a life-support machine I'd have been in Ireland," Doperty told NME.com. "But my heart stopped."
Doperty says he wasn't hospitalized because of drug consumption, and doctors at Swindon, England's Great Western Hospital didn't know what was wrong with him.
"Their immediate thought was that it was to do with drugs, but it wasn't," Doperty told the website.
I don't know why they would ever think such a thing.
"What happened? Well, I don't know. I don't remember. I was just running into the walls, making steering wheel signs with my hands. And then I just... stopped. My body just stopped."
Doperty says he only spent a night in hospital before he was let out.
This summer, Doperty was arrested twice in one week. In the first incident, he was allegedly discovered slumped over in an airplane washroom with a used hypodermic needle found on him during a flight from London, England to Geneva, Switzerland. He was arrested in Geneva and tested positive for heroin use, but was released after paying a fine.
In the same week, Doperty was pulled over in Gloucester, England and arrested on suspicion of drug possession and driving under the influence of alcohol.
