Supergrass Members, Nigel Godrich Are Hot Rats

The Hot Rats, a new cover band featuring Supergrass' Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey and producer Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Muse) will release their Turn Ons debut album on Jan. 19 through Fat Possum.

The disc features covers of songs originally written by Beastie Boys, The Kinks, The Velvet Underground and others.

You can hear The Hot Rats' covers of Beastie Boys' "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)," Gang Of Four's "Damaged Goods," The Velvet Underground's "I Can't Stand It" and Sex Pistols' "E.M.I." on their MySpace page.
