Groove Armada Album Out In February

Groove Armada
Groove Armada will release their sixth album, Black Light, on Feb. 23.

The disc features guest appearances from MGMT, Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry, Friendly Fires, Empire Of The Sun and LCD Soundsystem and apparently sounds much different from the duo's previous material.

"We could've knocked out an album of reggae-influenced house bangers and a couple of chill-out tunes, and that would've been a much easier life," Andy Cato said in a press release. "But we needed a new challenge. Neither of us was interested in just repeating ourselves."

Tom Findlay told Music Remedy the album recalls work by Gary Numan, David Bowie, New Order, Fleetwood Mac and Roxy Music. This is partly because they spent the entire recording process listening to Roxy Music's "Love Is The Drug" on repeat.

First single "I Won't Kneel" is available for download on iTunes and you can hear it on the band's MySpace page.
