Decemberists Turn Hazards Of Love Into Animated Film

The Decemberists

Perhaps inspired by its own content regarding shape-shifters, the latest album by The Decemberists, The Hazards Of Love is changing once again.

It was originally imagined as a rock opera and later turned into an extensive tour where the band have been playing the album in its entirety every night (including the guest singers who appear on the album). Now, The Hazards Of Love will morph again next month when it gets released as a full-length video.

Watch out Yellow Submarine and The Wall, because the mixed media clipfest that is Hazards Of Love is awesome. Here Come The Waves: The Hazards Of Love Visualized premiered at a show in Los Angeles on Oct. 19, but will be available exclusively via iTunes starting Dec. 1.

The animations were created by independent filmmakers Guilherme Marcondes, Julia Pott, Peter Sluszka and Santa Maria.
