British Sea Power have started working on the follow-up to 2008's
Do You Like Rock Music? and this year's
Man Of Aran soundtrack, which looks like it should be out sometime next year.
Guitarist Martin Noble wrote on the band's
website on Saturday (Nov. 14) that the band were "well into" the writing and recording process for the as-yet-untitled new disc, and are working on 15 songs.
"Graham Sutton (who mixed DYLRM?) has moved into our rented Farmhouse where Yan [real name Jan Wilkinson, vocals/guitar] has been living the last year and it's all coming together piece by piece," he wrote. "We hand over bits of the jigsaw and Graham puts it together.
"The overall picture is slowly emerging."
There's no word on when the album will be released.
You can see British Sea Power at the Perth International Arts Festival in Perth, Australia on Feb. 17 and 18.
