Megadeth, Slayer Reschedule Canadian Carnage

Slayer and Megadeth have rescheduled the Canadian tour they postponed earlier this month because of Slayer singer/bassist Tom Araya's emergency back surgery.

According to a press release, the "Canadian Carnage" dates will follow a run of U.S. cities starting in Seattle on Jan. 18 and ending in Lowell, Mass. on Feb. 14. The U.S. dates will also feature a section of "recession-proof tickets" priced at $10 each.

The Canadian jaunt begins in Quebec City on Feb. 16 with dates in Ontario and the Maritimes.

The tour marks the first time both bands have joined forces for an extended period since their "Clash Of The Titans" trek back in 1991. Megadeth and Slayer played some western Canadian shows earlier this year before heading to Australia for more dates in October.

Slayer will head to Europe for a series of dates there throughout March and April.

Megadeth are touring in support of their new album Endgame, while Slayer just released their new studio effort World Painted Blood.
