Sum 41 drummer Steve Jocz is now one of the directors at Rockhard Films, a Los Angeles-based film production company.

"I knew I wanted to be a director since Sum 41's video for 'Fat Lip,'" Jocz says. "It looked like so much fun and involved a lot less jumping."

Jocz first met Rockhard's owner, Marc Klasfeld, when Sum 41 shot the video for "Fat Lip," which was their very first video. Klasfeld has directed many of Sum 41's videos, including "In Too Deep," "Still Waiting" and "Hell Song."

"[Jocz] was a big part of why the videos I directed came out so great," Klasfeld says. "He always showed a love, knowledge and appreciation for quirky cinema and pop culture. I knew he had what it takes to be a great music video director."

Jocz began collaborating with Klasfeld on videos with Sum 41's clip for "Underclass Hero." The drummer later went on to direct his band's videos for "With Me" and two videos for bassist Cone McCaslin's The Operation MD side project. Jocz has also helmed clips for Bowling For Soup, The Sounds and 3OH!3's new video featuring Katy Perry.

Jocz is currently working on Sum 41's new album with McCaslin and singer/guitarist Deryck Whibley. In case you haven't heard, it's "extreme" and "pretty fuckin' heavy."
