Fall Out Boy Members Jam With Daryl Hall, Turn Down Soccer With Rod Stewart

Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy singer/guitarist Patrick Stump will appear on the upcoming episode of Hall And Oates member Daryl Hall's Live From Daryl's House online webcast series.

The episode will be available as of Sunday (Nov. 15) through the series' website. Stump helped Hall perform Hall And Oates classics like "Out Of Touch" and "Guessing Games," while the duo also played Fall Out Boy's 'I Don't Care," "What A Catch, Donnie" and "Sugar, We're Goin' Down."

"As a musician, I can't fathom a show more fun to play than Live From Daryl's House," Stump said, according to antimusic.com.

Hall also says Stump was fun to jam with, saying, he was a "soulful vocalist."

"I was really impressed with his grasp of R&B and it turned out we shared a love for a great deal of the same music."

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz has been busy lately, too — telling people about turning down invitations to play soccer with Rod Stewart.

Wentz told Britain's The Sun tabloid that he once refused a game of soccer (or as Stewart would call it, football) against Stewart because he was afraid to play the former Faces frontman.

"Rod holds all these celebrity football games in L.A.," Wentz said.

"I did get an invite once but I had to turn down one as I had a broken ankle a few years back and I was scared I wouldn't be good enough.

"I knew I'd get frustrated if I couldn't play at the level I know I can."

Of course, Stewart used to play professional soccer, and was centre-half for the Middlesex Schoolboys in his youth. He also has a soccer field in his backyard.

"Rod is just so good still," Wentz told The Sun about the 64-year-old. "Didn't he used to be a pro? He's also got great hair.

"Hopefully I'll get another invite and I won't say no this time. I'd love to play against him but I'd want to practice."
