Meligrove Band Attacked By Swine Flu, Cancel Shows

The Meligrove Band have been forced to cancel their last four upcoming shows because half the band reportedly have swine flu.
The band were touring with The Most Serene Republic, who will still appear at the affected shows. The Meligrove Band say they want to make up the shows in early 2010 as a "run-up" to their new as-yet-untitled album. It's not clear when the disc will be released.
The Meligrove Band also picked up a new member in guitarist/synthesizer player Brian O'Reilly. He's played in Halifax bands like Their Majesties and Brent Randall & His Pinecones.
You'll be able to see O'Reilly with the band when they play XM Radio's XMas party with Still Life Still, Dinosaur Bones and The Junction at The Velvet Underground on Dec. 18. Admission is free.
Here are the cancelled Meligrove Band appearances:
Nov. 11 Peterborough, ON @ The Montreal House
Nov. 12 Kingston, ON @ Time To Laugh Comedy Club
Nov. 13 Montreal, QC @ Il Motore
Nov. 14 Ottawa, ON @ Zaphod Beeblebrox
