Sloan Adds Western Canada December Dates

Sloan already announced a handful of American shows set for later this month, and now they've confirmed five Western Canadian dates slated for mid-December starting Dec. 9 in Winnipeg.
No ticket information has been announced for any of the shows.
According to Sloan's website, the band will stop "at a bunch of the usual suspects along the way. We'll be looking into central and eastern Canadian dates later in the winter... as everybody knows that summer touring is for lightweights."
The group will also visit Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, but are trying to add another date between the Dec. 12 Edmonton show and the Dec. 15 Vancouver gig.
"Do you have a great venue in your neighborhood?" the band write. "Is your neighborhood in the heart of the Canadian Rockies in the middle of December? Are we asking for trouble?"
Sloan also asked fans to send information on any local rink so the band and crew can spend some down time playing shinny.
"A few of the guys will have their hockey gear and an afternoon skate is always a treat." Let's just hope brittle bones Murphy stays away from the phone calls while on the ice..."
Sloan, who are soon to release a digital EP and released their last album Parallel Play in 2008, will kick off their run of U.S. shows in Detroit on Nov. 28 alongside Sam Roberts and The Hard Lessons as part of Winter Icebreaker.
