Iggy Pop says The Stooges will return to the road next year, and they'll have original guitarist James Williamson with them.
Pop previously said The Stooges would play All Tomorrow's Parties U.K. in London, England next May with Williamson in tow, but now he says the band will launch a full tour in 2010.
"The band have been rehearsing more without me than with me because I've been doing other things this year," Pop told BBC News.
"But we have been rehearsing all together more recently.
"We're going to be doing a one-off show in Brazil [this month] but the real touring starts next year."
Stooges guitarist Ron Asheton, who was part of the band's reunion earlier this decade, passed away of a heart attack in January. Pop told BBC News Asheton's "spirit still lives on" with the group, despite his death.
"We're all very sorry about Ron," Pop said. "His spirit within the group remains with the rest of us and he is still a presence within the group without being on the physical plain."
