Dashboard Confessional Tour Postponed

This oughta make the emo kids cry: Dashboard Confessional have postponed their upcoming North American tour because of a "family issue."
Dashboard Confessional were due to tour the continent in support of their sixth studio album, Alter The Ending, due out Tuesday (Nov. 10). New Found Glory, Never Shout Never, Meg & Dia and Single File were due to open all the dates.
"We don't take this lightly but family has to come first," Dashboard Confessional wrote in a blog entry on their MySpace page. "As this is a last minute development, we are still figuring out what we will do - as soon as we know, you will know. We apologize to everyone who planned on coming to the shows. We will find a way to make it up to you."
Refunds for the cancelled shows, which included two dates at Toronto's Kool Haus on Dec. 13 and 14, are available at point of purchase.
In the meantime, New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert recently revealed via Twitter that the band have plans to tour with Saves The Day in early 2010. No dates have been announced yet.
You can still see Dashboard Confessional at Louisville, Ky.'s Kentucky Center For The Performing Arts on Saturday (Nov. 7).
