Jesse Giddings Is MuchMusic's New VJ

New MuchMusic VJ Jesse Giddings is a musician and former member of Vancouver bands Swingset Champion and We Shot The Moon.
Giddings moved to Toronto from B.C. to become a VJ. He was discovered by Elite Models after moving to Toronto and previously managed concert venues, according to his Twitter. Last Friday (Oct. 20) was Giddings' first day on the job.
"Music is such a big part of my life and working for MuchMusic is a dream come true," Giddings says. "I'm excited to meet and get involved with MuchMusic fans, and support Canadian musicians along the way. Becoming a VJ is such an unbelievable opportunity and I'm thrilled to be a part of the team."
Giddings' bio on MuchMusic's website lists Death Cab For Cutie, Sigur Ros, Rise Against and Muse among his favourite artists, and he describes himself as an "avid concert goer."
Let's hope he's a little more interesting to watch than Tim Deegan, who became a MuchMusic VJ in 2006, and fingers crossed that he's a wee bit edgier than Devon pretty boy Soltendieck.
MuchMusic will add a second new VJ to its roster later this year when the winner of the current VJ 2.0 VJ search joins the team in December.
