Rob Zombie Tour To Have Halloween Bonuses

Rob Zombie has announced a tour in support of his forthcoming album The Hellbilly Deluxe 2: Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls And The Systemic Dehumanization Of Cool, just in time for Halloween.

The disc is the companion to 1998's Hellbilly Deluxe, and is due out Nov. 10.

This is Zombie's first headlining tour since 2007, and it will begin in Phoenix, Ariz. on Thursday (Oct. 29) night. Nekromantix and Captain Clegg & The Night Creatures (last seen in Halloween II) will open the dates.

Zombie will also play a special Halloween show on Saturday (Oct. 31), which will be hosted by Uncle Seymour Coffins (also seen in Halloween II).

So what's made him pack up and hit the road?

"I am bouncing off the walls like a mental patient," he says, "that tells me it's time to take it to the stage and let the demons loose."

Zombie will reunite with his band — bassist Piggy D., guitarist John 5 and drummer Tommy Clufetos — who last toured with him in support of his 2006's Educated Horses.

This return to the road comes in themiddle of Zombie's triumphant stint as a horror movie director. Zombie, who recently wrote and directed Halloween II, has also just released The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto, an R-rated, animated feature.

Zombie's next film will be a remake of The Blob, which he is slated to begin shooting in the spring of 2010. He's also working on a film called Tyrannosaurus Rex, which is in pre-production and plans to have a sequel to El Superbeasto in theatres in 2013.
