Broken Social Scene Member Writes Children's Book

Broken Social Scene and Raising The Fawn member John Crossingham has written a children's book called Learn To Speak Music: A Guide To Creating, Performing And Promoting Your Songs.
Owl Kids, publishers of Canada's Owl children's magazine, have put out the book, which is aimed at nine- to- 12-year-olds who want to know more about what it's like to have a music career.
Learn To Speak Music was illustrated by Jeff Kulak. It begins with the art of teaching oneself how to play an instrument and also covers important subjects like forming a band, performing, recording and promotion, according to popmatters.com.
The book also includes sidebars with tips from musicians like Broken Social Scene's Feist, Emily Haines, Kevin Drew, Brendan Canning and Andrew Whiteman, Alexisonfire and City And Colour's Dallas Green, Buck 65, Melissa Auf Der Maur and others.
