Jay-Z, Alicia Keys Opening First World Series Game

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys will perform before the first game of this year's World Series on Wednesday (Oct. 28).

The duo will play a version of "Empire State Of Mind," their single which appears on Jay-Z's recently released The Blueprint 3, before the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies take the field at Yankee Stadium. Keys will sing "The Star Spangled Banner" after they perform the track. The games will be televised on Fox.

"As a diehard Yankee fan, I'm honoured to perform a song that celebrates the greatness of New York in one of our city's most important landmarks, Yankee Stadium," Jay-Z said in a statement.
