Facebook To Upgrade Music Features

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Google will soon launch its own music service, and now Facebook is set to do something similar.
Reports indicate Google will use the iLike and Lala services in its application, which sounds like it will resemble some kind of music search engine.
The New York Times reports Facebook, meanwhile, plans to integrate Lala's content into its gift store, which users can currently use to send birthday and holiday images to each other for a small fee.
The newspaper reports users will be able to send song streams to each other for 10 cents U.S. as part of the revamp, while paying a dollar U.S. will allow you to download the track and import it into a music player like iTunes.
According to the New York Times, Facebook started bringing virtual content to its gift store with "limited tests" this summer that involved American Greetings, SomeeCards and JibJab.
At this point, it seems like it's really only a matter of time before Twitter gets its own music service or something of that ilk, what with the number of musicians tweeting these days.
