Winnipeg Gets Only Canadian R.E.M. Documentary Screening This Weekend

This Is Not A Show, the new documentary on R.E.M., will be screened in select cities around the world this weekend.
Winnipeg is so far the lone Canadian city on the list of municipalities showing the documentary, which was directed by Vincent Moon (Miroir Noir, Take Away Shows).
The Winnipeg screening is slated for Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Into The Music, a record store located at 245 McDermot Ave. Admission is $5 and includes a free beverage.
This Is Not A Show, which looks back at the band's five-night "rehearsal" stand in Dublin back in 2007, will be shown in various U.S. cities as well as being screened in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Vienna, Austria this week. A full list of screenings can be found on R.E.M.'s website, and more information about them can be found here.
In related news, Live At The Olympia, a two-CD, 39-song set culled from the shows, will be released on Oct. 27.
