Trent Reznor has resurrected his Twitter account to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Nine Inch Nails' Pretty Hate Machine.
"Happy birthday, old friend. Pretty Hate Machine turns 20," Reznor tweeted Tuesday night.
Reznor left Twitter in June because he was being drowned in haterade from "idiots" from the Metal Sludge world, who he said were also throwing racial slurs at former West Indian Girl singer Mariqueen Maandig, who's now his wife.
Reznor returned to the social networking site shortly after that, but left again in July, saying he'd "done all I care to do here at this point. Flesh and reality and silence are calling."
His Twitter currently says he is "not reading replies at this time," and "if you follow known trolls, you will get blocked." So ladies who are jealous Reznor got married this weekend: it's best not to fuck with him.
Reznor and Maandig married on Saturday after getting engaged in May.
"Goths the world over will mourn this day- off to a wedding...." former NIN live bassist/guitarist and synthesizer player Danny Lohner wrote on his Twitter on Saturday.
He later posted a photo of the couple dancing.
Reznor announced he was putting the live version of Nine Inch Nails to bed earlier this year.
