A clump of Elvis Presley's hair was auctioned for $15,000 U.S. (about $15,500 Canadian) this weekend.
The hair was reportedly cut when Presley joined the army in the late 1958, according to BBC News. It was sold at Chicago's Leslie Hindman auctioneers along with 200 of Presley's items previously owned by Gary Pepper, the late president of a Presley fan club.
The auction also included one of Presley's shirts, which sold for $52,000 U.S. (about 54,000 Canadian). Photos of Presley's wedding reception after he married Priscilla Presley in 1967 also sold for $6,000 U.S. (about $6,184 Canadian).
Fans who want a lock of Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz's hair can score strands of his DNA for $129.99 US.
