Billy Talent Postpones British Tour Dates

While we're not exactly connecting the dots, common sense would tell you performing outdoors in frigid conditions while wearing T-shirts is generally a bad thing. And it might have caught up with Billy Talent.

Ten days after playing in MuchMusic's parking lot as part of Rogers Presents Live In The Lot With Billy Talent, the band have been forced to postpone two British dates this week: a show tonight Leeds, England and Tuesday night in Nottingham, England.

"We regret to inform you that the first two shows will be postponed due to a band member being ill," the band announced on their website. "The U.K. tour will now commence on Wednesday, October 21, at the Sheffield Academy. The Leeds and Nottingham shows will be rescheduled for a later date."

The band, who have Canterbury and fellow Canuck act Cancer Bats as support on the British trek, also say the new dates will be confirmed soon with tickets purchased for both shows honoured at the new gigs. It's possible the two makeup dates will be in early November as there's a two-week gap between their final British date in London, England on Nov. 1 and their next European jaunt starting in Bielefeld, Germany on Nov. 16.

Billy Talent will launch a Canadian tour next March with Alexisonfire and Against Me as support.
