Dead Weather Already Recording Second Album

The Dead Weather's Horehound debut came out in June so it's still relatively new by a lot of people's standards, but the band are already halfway through recording its follow-up.

Singer Alison Mosshart told BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat the as-yet-untitled album could be finished by the end of the year.

"In between now and Christmas I'm going to go back to [White's studio in] Nashville at some point," Mosshart said.

"[The new songs] sound great. I really like them. We've been playing three or four of them onstage, so they keep changing all the time."

The Dead Weather includes Mosshart, who also sings with The Kills, and Jack White, Queens Of The Stone Age guitarist Dean Fertita and Raconteurs bassist Jack Lawrence.
