Weezer's Rivers Cuomo To Collaborate with Katy Perry

After years of hiding out in his own kingdom of nerds, Rivers Cuomo seems to be spending a lot of time with Hollywood cool kids lately.
On top of working with Lil' Wayne, Jermaine Dupri, and Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler of the All-American Rejects on Weezer's new album, Raditude, Cuomo has confirmed he will soon work with boob flasher-extraordinare and Morrissey fan Katy Perry of "I Kissed A Girl" fame.
"We're writing together next week. Can't wait," Cuomo recently told Buzznet.
Although it isn't clear what kind of collaboration is going to come out of the pairing, fans can at least look forward to the release of the forthcoming Weezer album. In addition to the first single "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To," fans can also hear "The Girl Got Hot," "I Don't Want to Let You Go" and Rivers Cuomo's collab with the All-American Rejects, "Put Me Back Together" on iTunes right now.
Weezer have also covered The Clash as part of the new album package.
In other news, the Get Up Kids hate them.
