Canadian thrash metal legends Sacrifice are set to release their first new album in 15 years, The Ones I Condemn, on Oct. 27 through Canadian record label Sonic Unyon.
Perhaps Sacrifice are following the likes of their fellow metalheads Anvil, who're now sniffing at Oscar noms for their Anvil: The Story Of Anvil documentary. Sacrifice have reassembled their original line up after a 2007 reunion show in 2007 and have made a record with 10 new tracks.
Originally released by the Brazilian-based Marquee Records this summer, Sonic Unyon will release a domestic version of the album, ensuring it will be available in retails stores nationwide in their home country.
Sacrifice recorded The Ones I Condemn at Toronto's Rouge Valley Studio with engineer Darius Szczepaniak (I Mother Earth, Sum 41). It features the talents of guest musicians like Jed Simon (Zimmers Hole, Strapping Young Lad) and Dave Hewson (Slaughter, Strappado).
"Canada has always been great to Sacrifice," guitarist Rob Urbinati says about the agreement. "We are extremely happy to have Sonic Unyon behind us in our home country. Everyone at the label is as excited about the release of The Ones I Condemn as we are and we look forward to working together."
The band have scheduled two special Canadian release shows on Nov. 7 at the Garrick Centre in Winnipeg and The Opera House in Toronto on Nov. 21.
Here are the songs on for The Ones I Condemn:
