Simpsons creator Matt Groening will curate the first All Tomorrow's Parties weekend festival in the U.K. next year.
Groening will be responsible for the lineup and programming for the festival, which runs from May 7 to 9 at Butlins Holiday Festival in Minehead, England. No information about any acts playing the festival has been announced yet. Tickets to the festival go on sale on Friday through the festival's website.
Groening might seem like a left-field choice at first, but he's worked with the folks at ATP before, having picked the bill for All Tomorrow's Parties' Long Beach, Calif. festival in 2003. He chose bands like Deerhoof, The Mars Volta and Sonic Youth.
Last week, Pavement were revealed as the curators of the All Tomorrow's Parties festival set to hit Minehead, England the next weekend from May 14 to 16. Tickets to that festival are on sale now.
