Sloan will play a benefit show at Toronto's Dakota Tavern on Oct. 19, and all proceeds will go to War Child Canada.
Tickets are on sale now, and will run you $30 a pop and you can buy them through
maplemusic.com. Sloan are set to perform some new songs at the gig and "fan favorites which have rarely been performed live," according to their
website. That means they'll probably play songs that will appear on their upcoming new as-yet-untitled
EP.
Bassist Chris Murphy, who was injured in a
hit-and-run accident earlier this year, is now reportedly fully healed and will be able to perform "as usual" on all of Sloan's upcoming dates.
