The trailer for Green Day's new stage musical, American Idiot, which is based on the album of the same name, has appeared on the internet.
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and director Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening) wrote the script for the play, which recently opened in Los Angeles and has since broken and set records at the Berkeley Repertory Theater.
The musical follows characters Jesus Of Suburbia, St. Jimmy and Whatshername, who are all mentioned in the songs on 2004's American Idiot, as they struggle to deal with America after Sept. 11, 2001.
Get ready to see a lot more of the American Idiot musical quite soon, since Armstrong recently told Spin.com he wants to make a film adaptation of it.
