Patrick Watson walked away with five GAMIQ Awards at a ceremony at Montreal's Club Soda that was hosted by the United Steel Workers Of Montreal on Sunday night.
Watson and his band of the same name, whose Wooden Arms was short listed for this year's Polaris Music Prize, won trophies for artist of the year and songwriter of the year, both of which come with $1,000 grant.
Watson and company also took home the international career of the year and show of the year awards, and Wooden Arms won for indie pop album of the year.
Other GAMIQ winners included Malajube, Coeur De Pirate, Beast, The Brains and Bell Orchestre.
GAMIQ winners are determined by online voting and a panel comprised of journalists, venue and festival bookers, record store owners and anglophone and francophone members of Quebec cultural organizations.
