For the last time, Theory Of A Deadman aren't Nickelback!

The Vancouver rockers are tired of being compared to Chad Kroeger and company frontman Tyler Connolly told Classic Rock magazine in an interview on Wednesday.

Connolly said the band believe they have severed the paternal link from Nickelback and want fans to appreciate them for who they are.

"I guess the fact that in the early days we worked with Chad Kroeger led to us being seen as some sort of junior version of them," he said. "But after three albums that's certainly changed in North America. Hopefully, we are now seen as a band in our own right."

If winning a best rock album Western Canadian Music Award wasn't enough to prove TOAD are totally unlike the Chads, then surely re-releasing last year's Scars & Souvenirs will put all comparisons to rest.

An expanded edition of the band's third album will soon be available to TOAD and Nickelback fans alike. It will feature bonus unreleased studio tracks, live tracks and videos.
