New Sum 41 Album "Pretty Fuckin' Heavy"

"Move forward and forget about the past" and "the past doesn't have to be part of the future" are two of the phrases that crop up in Sum 41's most recent video blog update from the studio.
Those phrases might carry a lot of weight for frontman Deryck Whibley, since it was announced last week that he and his wife, Avril Lavigne, are going to divorce.
Regardless, he and bassist Cone McCaslin, guitarist/keyboardist Tom Thacker and drummer Steve Jocz have been holed up in the studio working on the follow-up to 2007's Underclass Hero.
Whibley's voice can be heard narrating the update below, which is a series of random images culled from the studio and was posted on the band's website on Saturday.
Sum 41 are still demoing the album right now, but Whibley says it's already different from anything they've released in the past and which the singer describes as "pretty fuckin' heavy."
"There's so many different moods and sounds and so many different instruments on this record," he says in the video. "It's, so far, the most exciting thing we've ever done."
No title, release date or tracklisting have been announced yet.
