Gonzales Challenges Andrew W.K. To Piano Battle

Let no one suggest the piano isn't a rock 'n' roll instrument. It has to be because Gonzales has challenged Andrew W.K. to a piano battle.

Yes, a piano battle.

U.K. online music magazine The Quietus was interviewing Andrew W.K. and told him Gonzales had sent them a special video in which he challenges the "Party Hard" rocker to a duel of the keys.

"Andrew, you and I, we're not so different after all," Gonzales says in the video, which can be seen below. "You like to party hard, I hardly party. I'm more about work and personal responsibility.

"But that shouldn't stop us from joining forces — two musical genii at the top of our respective forms."

He then challenges Andrew W.K. to do battle with him during his Sept. 25 show at New York City's Joe's Pub.

It might just be us, but for some reason we think Gonzales has the upper hand here.

Gonzales will also appear at Toronto's Mod Club five days after the piano battle. He'll have a SURPRISE guest with him, and no, we don't know who it is.
