Don't worry, Alkaline Trio bassist Dan Andriano isn't having some kind of medical emergency. He has, however, launched a new side project dubbed The Emergency Room.
Andriano says the project is a solo thing for now, and he'll make his live debut with four shows in October.
"I've been working on a lot of new songs and I'm pretty excited to get out and play them," Andriano told Alternative Press. "And yes, I'll probably be playing a couple Alkaline Trio songs. Maybe someday this will become a band, I do not know. What i do know is that for these shows, I will be all alone."
Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba is also working on a solo album, which should be out in 2010.
Alkaline Trio's most recent album is last year's Agony & Irony.
