Avril Lavigne is reportedly saying "see ya later, boy" to her husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley.

US Weekly's latest issue reports that Lavigne has ordered Whibley to move out of their $9.5 million U.S. (about $10.1 million Canadian), 12,000-square-foot Los Angeles mansion.

"She dumped him and told him she was leaving him," a source told the magazine. "She wants to move on."

US Weekly reports Lavigne should file divorce papers soon and Whibley is "crushed" she is leaving him.

Lavigne and Whibley married in 2006 after dating for two years. Rumours the couple's marriage was in a rough state began circulating around this time last year. The couple denied the rumours.

Lavigne has since been spotted by tabloids partying it up with other men at Los Angeles clubs.

We're curious about what this means for Lavigne's new studio album, which she said she'd started working on last month. Whibley was co-writing its songs.

A friend of Chartattack's who wanted us to write this story in the form of our traditional "XX Reasons Why YY Was Cool" obituaries sent these in:

 1. We all knew it was over before it began.
2. Pondering how quickly Deryck will burn through a divorce settlement.
3. The likelihood that their marriage was a lot like the movie The Other Sister.
4. Their wedding pictures: Have two people ever looked less in love?
5. The number of women Deryck slept with after using the line, "Y'now, I'm married to Avril Lavigne."

There's some good stuff on that Cruisin' 1962 album.

My first reaction when I heard they were a couple was "Really?? REALLY?!"
