Weakerthans' John K. Samson Releasing Solo Seven-Inch Single

Weakerthans main main John K. Samson will release a three-song acoustic seven-inch called City Route 85 on Oct. 30.
The acoustic songs are slated for vinyl release on Grand Hotel Van Cleef Records in Europe, and will be available as a digital download available worldwide.
Samson will also tour Europe, opening for German band Kettcar as well as headlining his own dates during his November jaunt.
Samson is no stranger to work outside of The Weakerthans bubble, often collaborating with wife Christine Fellows. He hasn't formally released a solo album since Little Pictures in 1995, a split with Painted Thin's Small Acts Of Love And Rebellion, released shortly before Samson left Propagandhi to form The Weakerthans.
In Weakerthans news, the band continue to ride the success of this year's Rolling Tundra Revue tour with the Constantines. The Weakerthans are touring Canada and the United States again this fall with Rock Plaza Central and German band Tomte. They'll also visit Australia for a mini-tour.
