Priestess Album, Tour This Fall

Priestess have been working tirelessly on Prior To The Fire, their sophomore album due out Oct. 20 in Canada, and will promote it on tour this fall.

The disc was originally slated for release this past March, but complications with their American label forced the delay. The album will be released in the U.S. in early 2010.

The band's tour tour kicks off in Charlottetown, with the band making their way west and picking up support from Los Angeles' Early Man in mid-November.

The band have recently acquired a much larger fan base since being featured in Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits and EA Sports' upcoming NHL 10.

But the band say this album is meant for rocking the road, not video game consoles.

"When we were writing the songs that would make up Prior To The Fire we really meant for them to be heard live," explains frontman Mikey Heppner. "We just can't wait to finally get on tour again and really do them justice — which is playing them live."
