Wolfmother Headlining Fall North American Tour

Australian rock band Wolfmother's new album, Cosmic Egg will soon hatch, and to promote it, they'll launch the 20-city North American New Moon Rising Tour.

The tour kicks off Oct. 29 in Dallas, and Heartless Bastards and thenewno2 are the support acts for the entire trek. The tour includes Canadian dates in Toronto and Vancouver.

A limited pre-sale starts Wednesday through Musictoday. The special pre-sale includes a trial membership to the band's official fan club (The Wolfies), the chance to pre-order Cosmic Egg and possibly winning a backstage meet-and-greet with Wolfmother during their jaunt. The public on sale date is Sept. 18.

The band are also teaming up with Musictoday and Trees For The Future to plant one tree in a third-world country for ever pre-sale ticket sold.

Cosmic Egg is out Oct. 27. Wolfmother just concluded some support dates with The Killers, including a stop at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre last Sunday where they actually joined The Killers on stage to cover The Animals. The band will support AC/DC on a string of Australian gigs starting next February.
