Chad Kroeger Mystified By Sign Language Interpreter

Nickelback were playing an ordinary show in the ordinary city of St. Louis, Mo. last month when frontman Chad Kroeger was confronted with something that seemed like it was extraordinary to him: a sign language interpreter.

Kroeger was engaging in between-song banter when he spotted the interpreter to the left of the stage.

"Are you signing every word I'm saying?" he asked the woman, who must have replied in the affirmative because he quickly replied, "Oh, that's awesome!"

But the fascination didn't end there.

"So, all of that nasty shit that I've been saying you've just been signing away? That's great," he grinned, before breaking into a stream of swear words, only to have the interpreter sign everything he was saying.

"You can just look at her pretty face the whole time, and you don't have to listen to the sound of my annoying fuckin' voice," he said. "You just get some angelic signing. That's fuckin' fantastic!"

Wow, if only that was really the case for those of us who aren't Nickelback fans.
