Slipknot and Deftones will spend October touring together throughout the western United States and Canada.
There are four Canadian dates on the itinerary. Both bands will make stops in Vancouver, Victoria, B.C., Edmonton and Calgary on the jaunt. Tickets go on sale Sept. 12 through Ticketmaster and Live Nation.
Slipknot, who were forced to cancel some dates last week after drummer Joey "#1" Jordison's appendix burst, are touring in support of last year's All Hope Is Gone and the 10th anniversary edition of their self-titled debut album, due out Sept. 9.
Deftones bassist Chi Cheng was injured in a car accident last November, which left him in a coma. Deftones frontman Chino Moreno recently told NME.com that Cheng is still unable to communicate, but is "making slow progress." The singer said he thinks Cheng's recovery will be long-term, but he hopes Cheng rejoins the band in the future.
Ex-Quicksand bassist Sergio Vega has been filling in for Cheng on bass.
Deftones will play the Maquinaria Festival on Nov. 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
