Nine Inch Nails have been forced to nix Thursday's gig at Los Angeles' Henry Fonda Theater after lead singer Trent Reznor became ill, or as one fan dubbed on the band's message board, developed a case of "Ninfluenza."

"We're very sorry to announce that Trent is ill, and on his doctor's orders we will not be able to perform tonight's show at the Henry Fonda Theater," a message on the band's website reads.

"This is the only information we have at this time, we're posting this early announcement as a convenience for those of you who had plans to attend. Reimbursement details will be posted as soon as we figure them out; likely within the next 24 hours.

"We wish this wasn't necessary and we're very sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding."

It's not known if the show will be rescheduled, as the band was set to wrap their Wave Goodbye tour with a string of Los Angeles dates. Reznor mentioned he was battling a sore throat during NIN's headlining slot Sunday at Toronto's Virgin Festival. At the time, he declared, "fuck it" and finished the band's set. He was also able to perform the opening L.A. date at the Hollywood Palladium on Wednesday night.

The band will play their final two dates on the Wave Goodbye tour at Los Angeles' Wiltern Theatre on Saturday and at Los Angeles' Echoplex on Saturday. HEALTH will open both dates.
