Joel Plaskett, Timber Timbre, Land Of Talk, D-Sisive, Malajube and Sebastien Grainger are among the nominees for this year's ECHO Songwriting Prize.
The ECHO Songwriting Prize, presented by SOCAN, is a $5,000 award given each year. Five songs are picked by a panel of "tastemakers" each year, and the winner is determined by votes from the public. There are separate prizes for songs written in English and French.

The Weakerthans and Karkwa won last year's prizes.
