Blink-182 pulled out of the show they were to play yesterday in New York City so they could mourn the late DJ AM.
DJ AM died of what's thought to be a drug overdose on Friday night. The DJ born Adam Goldstein was good friends with Blink-182, especially drummer Travis Barker, with whom he performed as TRV$DJAM and survived a plane crash that killed four other people last September. The cause of DJ AM's death has yet to be determined.
Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French went on as scheduled.
Blink-182 honoured DJ AM with a minute of silence at a gig on the weekend, and bassist/singer Mark Hoppus reportedly said it was difficult for the band to play during the show due to their grief.
There are additional rumours Blink-182 will not play a show scheduled to take place tomorrow in Cleveland, and Thursday's gig in St. Louis, Mo. is also in doubt, according to Alternative Press. No announcements have been made yet regarding either show.
